Amazing intro. The only time I've really seen actual Alex Jones footage was a long time when I lived in LA I was walking on Larchmont, a super LA lib waspy part of town and there was a homeless Asian guy sitting on a bus bench watching Alex Jones on a laptop. I know that sentence is probably as confusing as one could imagine but I saw it with my own two eyes. I assume he was stealing WiFi from a nearby business.
The Eason hype was through the roof. Too hard to think back and really compare it to Locker (my high school coach said he'd 'be playing on Sundays' in 2004) but Eason was be touted as potentially the best QB prospect ever from the state.
You could make a business off of just getting hot asian women to cover your favorite sports team and just prompt AI to answer questions, and then show up to all the team events dressed like Tiffany Fong but in school colors.
Yeah, and I bought the Eason hype more than Jake Heaps and Max Browne before him. The arm was legit. He was a legit 6'6. I've heard plenty of reasons why he disappointed and saw plenty with my own eyes. I guess the easiest way to sum it up is he had a huge arm but just wasn't very accurate.
Locked would have gotten way more hype if he wasn't all the way up in Ferndale and it was still stupid he wasn't rated higher,
Yeah because that year he was just a sophomore handing the ball off, and they had a senior class that had all played and lifted together since peewee football.
Part of the reason why I think our coaches knew he was great was because Ferndale came down here and beat Mountain View at the beginning of the season, who was very good at the time, and they used his athleticism to kick their ass a lot more than they had to with us.
Yeah I'm pretty sure I've said it before but Locker's freshman year at the end of practice before we played Ferndale our coach said that freshman cornerback they have is gonna be a Pac-10 player. He returned the opening kick for a TD against us. His state championship performance against Bellevue his junior year was one of the most impressive individual high school performances I've seen. He almost beat the team that blew out De La Salle and ended their streak on his own.
