My talks with Vanilla
The site will look a bit different but still function largely the same. In terms of changes, there's one good news and one bad news. The good news is that when we go to quote someone's post, the entire post will show up in the quote feature. It will be nice to have that back. The bad news is that they say there's nothing that can be done to fix the need to type "twitter" every time we embed a tweet. They say it is something that X needs to fix in order to function the way we want it to.
The old logo doesn't fit on the new banner, so it being redesigned by a new graphics contractor I hired in order to fit it properly.

So X needs to make sure that when you hit the "share" button to come paste it here, that they give you a link that contains the old base uri?
They really can't reg-replace the value in just whatever js/webA framework they're using?
Not that I care but it definitely smells like they simply don't want to.

Seeing the new version of the site now. Things look a little odd, but nothing we can't get used to. Notifications red though. Hard to notice them…
