Climate scam - first hand reports from the ground
Don’t ask me why my company wants to be carbon neutral certified argument has always been for retail customer relationships and marketing etc.
Just got off the phone with our carbon auditor (lol as I type that), we reported roughly a 2x increase is carbon YoY, due to bigger sales and thus a lot more inventory purchases. They said it’s fine and they will still certify us as long as our audit/certification fee increases by 2x.

I was floored when I asked what is the mechanism to reduce carbon footprint logistically and operationaly and was told more money was the answer. Bit my tongue. I knew it was all a scam just didn’t realize how openly corrupt it all is.

Certification is through an NGO, it’s just for putting a stamp on a box or the website. Nothing too official but the NGO is probably being funded by EPA or USAID.
Waiting on their proposal in writing before I expose them.

I noticed this week that sending anything to Canada via FedEx International needs shitloads of extra paperwork if the declared value is over $2500.
Solution? Everything is now under $2500. Our shipping clerk is happy.

FedEx's entire international form system and e-signature stuff is the worst thing I've ever seen when it comes to shipping software.
Everybody hates it and pretty much a custom solution to build and manage all the forms yourself when a country doesn't take FedEx's garbage is all you can do.
Shipping hazmat is the only thing they do more conveniently than UPS.
