this is encouraging. Guy that decommitted.
-
Durr is in the boat. Pretty good offer list. ASU, Michigan state, Illinois, Wisconsin. 6’1” is a nice height for a corner. Fishy trying to sew the net around the state.
-
Two crystal dongs for CB CJ Lavender from Mater Dei. His offer sheet is amazing, his rating is not.
-
if were to believe everyone is his top 4 wants him, this would be a battle won against guys we? need to be beating for croots.
Oklahoma, tx a&m, and the U. -
Wiltdongs in for Smiegel, Lavender, Landen Miree and Fa Siale.
-
whelp, fuck.
u$c ass hat. -
Wonder if Tafa still takes his official visits. I think "we" got the kiss of death of I think Doogman saying his mom told them she would choose him to go to UW right now.
I assume USC is throwing a lot of cash at recruits to commit and generate some program momentum. I'm not saying that in a doog way like we're better than that or shouldn't be doing that.
-
USC always starts hot, gets big tim kids to commit early and then loses a third of them to flips as the process goes on. If it was truly down to Utah, USC and UW, I’d say the Huskies still have a pretty good shot at flipping Tafa. It’s not like the Oregon or TOSU bags were in play.
-
I'm going to up my monthly Montlake Futures donation by $10 to get Tafa back in the boat.
-
I'll just be a doog here and say that everything smells like yeah, Riley could break out this year now that it's year 2 of a decent DC and corrected some mistakes here and there, but it looks like they're really desperate now that it's clear that him, Jen, and possibly Musselman are looking like busts. Go throw another 15 mil on players to justify your 12+ mil coach that is winning 7-8 games.
-
If SC has a breakout, playoff season this year the media and talking heads will forget that the last two years of Riley ever happened. Hype train refueled...
-
Well if you happen to be one who thinks Fisch's average record at Arizona is somehow hope that he isn't the retard he appears to be I have bad news for you if you hate Lincoln. 3 playoffs among the conference titles and never a losing record
Of course DeBoer sucks too according to experts
Not directed at Chuck or the HIV

Something has been up at USC. Even when they were mediocre under Kiffin and Sark they still recruited and had talent. They haven't recruited the way they used to in years and being mediocre for so long has caught up with them. Unfortunately, Oregon has capitalized on it and UW hasn't really done shit other than basically be USCesque outside of 2022-23 and even then, we still recruited like we were Cal.
-
I have very little hope that Jeb isn't the retard he appears to be. I won't say zero, being an optimist and all...
-
Why would anybody take into account Fisch's "average" record taking over the worst and shittiest fucking power 5 football program? What does a 3 year average even mean in that situation?
Riley looks like a soft 7-8 win coach right now. If he he isn't 2-0 against some mediocre SEC teams last year than SC might have used the money on his buyout instead of buying him players to save his job this year.
-
I have mixed faith in Jedd's ability to succeed at Washington. I just don't see any relation to Riley with it. Riley took over a great situation at Oklahoma in a shallow conference that played no defense with a formula that worked really well. I think at this point it's very likely he saw things slipping at Oklahoma and the challenge of going to the SEC and saw a lucrative lifeboat at USC.
I think Jedd was a guy who was in a low bar situation at Arizona, may have gotten a big schedule break in 2023, and then benefited from a shitty coaching marke.
-
Winners win. They don't need you to make excuses
12 wins a year a 7 win coach
Jedd has one winning record in his career
Whatever gets you through the night but ripping better coaches isn't going to work. Been there. Done that
-
What gets me through the night is the fact that we are actually bringing in talent, which is Step 0, 1, 2, and 3 to get the program back on track.
All the schtick about coaching doesn't even matter until that happens. Guess what, DeBoer/his staff was fucking that up, that's not even up for debate and was lamented in 2022/23, and it cost Grubb the head coaching job here.
I am solidly LIPO on Jedd until the results of this season. He could either stall and that problem comes up, or he can put in a Petersen type of resume. I can give a season with unprecedented circumstances a simple "Incomplete" grade when he took care of Michigan and the LA schools and lot of the season didn't tell you much, and then he upgraded the staff on defense afterwards.
Also, we're paying like ~7.8 mil for Jedd's 1 very good season at Arizona. Riley is making 12+ mil and was expected to slap everyone around Day 1, Game 1, Season 1.

In before we get 20+ pages relitigating the Apple Cup, Rutgers, and Frosted Flakes bowl results.
-
Our positions are clear
-
Something is up for sure. Oregon dethroned them as the top recruiting draw in the West. I don't know how much of that is cause and how much is effect.
-
Oregon was beating USC in recruiting under Chip. It's not a recent thing. It's not luck either
-
Huh? Oregon doesn't have a single class ranked higher than USC by 247 in any of those years and a lot of times it's not even close. Getting De'Anthony Thomas away from USC gets a lot of clout. From what I remember, Oregon's recruiting under Chip was kind of underwhelming given their brand and amount of success at the time and his hatred of recruiting got called out. They did pull some nice big pieces though. It's not a coincidence their recruiting has taken major steps forward since public bags became legal.
-
8-3 since 07
On field results beat recruiting championships
Huh
Which is why I'm not buying the Fisch recruiting deal until he can get results on the field
I don't care if DeBoer couldn't recruit. He could win
-
USC has been ultra soft against Oregon yeah but you said they were beating USC in recruiting which is just not true in the TBS rankings. Chip and Helfrich taking lower rated try hard guys who really helped carry their water over the years was an underrated aspect of the program though.
-
If they are beating them on the field they are beating them in recruiting
Same goes for the Dawgs
They were better than both Oregon and USC in 22 and 23
-
You've moved these goal posts here so many times you might as well throw them in that river like Vandy at this point.
-
Ducks started really hanging their hats on crooting with Taggart. Before him it was Chip’s revolutionary offense/methodology (e.g. being obsessed with urine samples).
-
I said Oregon was beating USC in recruiting
You brought up rankings
When have I ever cared about recruiting rankings?
UW isn't a recruiting school but has 2 playoffs
As does Oregon
USC zero
