The stadium was rocking
TUFF decision for me between FWIW, Last Train to Clarksville, Wild Thing, Paint it Black and Paperback Writer.
And Your Bird Can Sing
Rain
Wild Thing was by far the heaviest song played on top 40 AM radio which is all we had. Then you'd buy the 45 and play it smooth
You can name that song in 2 notes if you're an old fuck.
It's one of the 1st punk songs.
And She Said, She Said. All merit consideration.
But I went the (moderate) hit single.
I could have gone with half the songs here. Paint it Black is relatively easy to play but is where the genius of Mick and Keith really started to emerge.
If we're going best song it is "For What It's Worth"
Dallas homer take.
I was going to vote for the Monkees, but remembered that in that time period, they did not write the songs, and the Wrecking Crew did the studio stuff…
You make my heart sing
