The don't hate the government getting cut, they hate the grift that is ending. The entire power of the dem party was the grift that paid their salaries and got them jobs they could never get on their own merit. Wacking the Department of Education and redirecting the money to parents and local school boards would benefit the kids. It would end the grift for thousands of government "workers" and put pressure on all the "administrators" who shuffle paper from the local and state education departments to the feds and then more paper back from the feds to the local school districts. Has nothing to do with education.
