Anyway, Damon probably deserved that shit he got from Ruhl after that shitty throw. Ruhl should have also walked over to the UW OC and taunted him for calling such a stupid play, especially with Kaufman in the backfield.
Going on a tangent here, but that's exactly how the Huskies lost to Colorado back in 1990. First down and 10 from the 7-yard-line, needing a touchdown... 4 straight pass plays. Greg Lewis was in the backfield and Mark Brunell was QB. This was Brunell's first year as a starter and he was very fast... pre knee injury. -
The Oregon student section to a man (the girls didn't care) though that Nip (or Nap, whatever) was going to punch it in. We were all shocked that UW decided to pass in that down/distance.

Seriously, that was a good summary of the sequence of events and what the key players were thinking. To this day, I still don't know much about Kenny Wheaton, but he did his homework and rolled the dice. Kudos to him. Who knows what would have happened if Huard pump fakes to Janoski or just throws it to Bjornson.
