I used to eat there a lot when I was a kid. Lots of birthday parties there at the Tacoma/Lakewood locations long ago…
There's a Shakeys in Shibuya and Yokohama. The have a lunchtime Buffet for like $10-12. Too many hungry Americans showing up might put those buffets out of business tho…
Skakey's sponsored a team in the women's fast pitch softball league my mom played in when I was a kid. Everyone always hated them as they had the best uniforms and real pitchers that nobody could hit.
I remember a lot of dumb shit from my youth. Softball tournaments were fun though. Ate lots of snow cones. My brother can still remember which chicks on Mom's team we wanted to bang, but those images are vague for me at best.
I grew up a block from Steven's Field in Oly. Once the miscreants burned down the high school football stadium there the place was turned into a softball park. Good stuff
Major League Softball with Pay N Pak and the Olympia Senators. The league all stars would represent the USA in world games. Ne Zealand was good at it
Always an excuse to spend summer nights outside until the field lights were turned off
Last one I went to was in Totem Lake in Kirkland. Now it is Cafe Veloce which has been there for years. It seemed like every pizza Shakeys made had big chunks of green pepper and tomatoes.
I preferred Pizza Haven in the upper mall of Totem Lake mall.
Loved Lincoln Heights Pizza Parlor, great memories!
My old man was from there and it was the place we always ate after arriving in Spokane Friday night in the early 70s for the weekend. Dad, new step mom only 14 years older than me and their couple friends with kids from toddler to teenagers like me and my lil sis. Never ran out of fresh pizza, pop or quarters. Fun times, hadn’t thought about that place in 40 years! Dad was in politics with a huge Jaycees network of close friends, there was never a dull moment visiting family on the South Hill. csb
funny story. That place was overflowing with people on Friday and Sat. Parking lot raging. Not a seat in the house. Sure, some kids were there to fuck around and not buy. But trust me they were moving pizza, beer and soda on those nights. Owner decided to get cute and ban the hanging out crowd. Boom. Boom. Out go the lights. Place stumbled along for a few yeas and died a slow death. conclusion? Never get rid of traffic when you’re selling cheap and easy to reproduce shit.

Thanks Taft!
KOMO buttfucker. Fond memories of the West Seattle Shakey’s from my youth.
When I was about five years old I went up to Bruce King at the Bellevue Shakey's.
Well, I guess we? still have Casa Mia.
O-town. Hoquiam.
@RaceBannon @dflea
Did you call him a KOMO 4 butt fucker?
… and then my family was banned from Shakey's

I wonder if the restraining order against me by Shakeys in Washington is enforceable in Japan?
Creep? Any other legal experts?

Shakey's used to be down on E. Sprague by Two Swabbies. A real treat to go there.
Then Lincoln Heights Pizza opened up with DuckHunter and Shakey's moved down the pizza list.
It was damned good pie though. Crunchy thin crust.
IIRC, my first date once I got my driver’s license began with dinner at Shakey’s in Kennewick…long ago and far away
Temecula has shakey's
The last one I went to was in Anaheim, and I remember driving by a Farrells on the way there…memory lane

Pizza Pete in Aberdeen or GTFO. The last great pizza hangout of my yute. Godfather's wasn't the same.
Pizza Pete was a chain? I remember old man Nacho talking about Pizza Pete in the context of a local sponsoring a youth sports team.

Shakey's MoJo potatoes were fucking awsome.
Birthday parties at the Shakey's in downtown Olympia were always awesome when I was a kid. The Woody Woodpecker cartoons were always a big hit.
Now we have Mod pizza. Think those fuckers have MoJo potatoes?
We have a Godfather's near our place. It tastes almost the same. The crust has that somewhat uncooked texture with the dimples.
not a chain.
