James Franklin is perpetually several years behind David Shaw in football and in life, and it's a weird Jim Harbaugh thing in both cases. Especially WR play.
If Ryan Day doesn't want you as a WR in the Big 18, show me a better place than the Shores of Montlake with Jebb Fisher. O and USC can get fucked.
Stoked about this rebound from the Cook debacle. It's a rad pickup considering the circumstances, and would be a fistpound pickup even at the start of portal season. Dude (Evans) played through the playoffs and caught teeders for a Stanford offense. He's a blazer, and we're here to take the top off hyyyep.
Jebb and co. especially Richardson and Graham, have an underestimated Shining with QB/WR/RBs. I'm seeing it. This is a very good thing. Worst case scenario is 7-win Sark. Pete Carroll just needs to come in to camp and light a fire under the OL and help his boy a bit. Maybe a jump football contest, but with OL this time. For an hour straight. If you lose the jump ball, that's a lap.
Liked what I think Locked On Huskies podcast said that the staff might have wanted to try something new after going the Jeremiah Hunter route last year of a guy with good stats who underwhelmed and went with the raw talented hasn't put it together guy in Cook. That immediately exploded and Evans is somewhere in between that. Even if he isn't making a ton of catches, a guy with speed who can take the top off is needed as I don't think we have that.
Evans has multiple plays on film where he's way behind the defense and had to pull up to catch Allar underthrows, so he'll be a legit deep threat next season.
DW is going to end up making a bunch of Vernon Adams-ish plays where he breaks the pocket and finds uncovered players downfield. We already saw it in the Sun Bowl. Got some Johnny Football vibes with DW; a gamer with wheels.
The Sun Bowl I watched, when Demond started to move, he put his head down and ran and wasn’t really looking to throw. He needs improvement there which will come in time hopefully.
He was pretty decisive with most of the those runs, and had multiple first down-resulting gains.
The plays where he was flushed he kept his eyes downfield for the most part and hit a lot of great distance throws to his entire option set of TE's, backs and WR's.
The one negative was how many times his runs resulted in him absorbing punishment.
Having Evans to pair with Boston is going to be huge.

Before putting on my glasses, I thought you said something about him needing to learn to quilt.
Don't we all.

I noticed that too and because of his size (6'5" 235 lbs), Allar has been overrated throughout his career.

He’s a quality WR w/ one year left, at the least he’s a buffer for the frosh to get a much needed year to get their feet wet
