It’s complicated. Some definite goods things like mostly freeing Twitter. We will probably come with the pitchforks for him at some point if he doesn’t behave.
Elon buying twitter was the biggest blow to the left in decades.
Is he kinda annoying? Sure. But who cares given the magnitude of that.
The left and the woke mob had complete and utter control of all forms of media. Businesses were terrified, local and state governments were completely cowed.
Now they have basically nothing. Reddit I guess. It’s completely flipped and everyone is okay with coming out against the woke shit.
It was always bad for business so would have eventually ended but probably not for another 6 or 7 years. And no way would Trump have won.
No one really cares about that.
It’s that everything was actually straight up silenced on every platform. And the left got powerful enough to force businesses to fall in line.
It was hilarious during the inauguration when Trump mentioned exploration, Mars and the camera zoomed in on Elon smiling giving both thumbs up, he was most definitely enjoying his free pub and genuinely happy.
I was pretty moved during his speech yesterday, feeling extremely patriotic or much more than I remember in years which wasn’t something I expected.
Mixed bag. Mostly because he seems like a weirdo to me. Maybe genius at that level just makes you weird.
X has been detailed here. I of course like what he did there.
Biggest thing for me is the sheer audacity of Musk. It's remarkable. Taking any feeling out of either, the fact that he reimagined and reordered the world in not one, but TWO major areas is history book shit. He completely redefined and essentially built the EV market AND a good bit of infrastructure to support it (with gov assist of course). For most people that would be enough for 4 lifetimes and a history book Henry Ford type moment. As an encore he then decided to privatize space and has been wildly successful there. Think of the audacity of that. "I will build a private company to challenge NASA!" And then actually do it. Remarkable.
Still a weirdo though. But a fucking legend level weirdo to be sure.
Savior politicians and billionaires are as good as savior QB's. If that's what you're pinning your hopes on be prepared for disappointment.
Maga is bigger than Elon. It's also bigger than Trump even if he's central to it.
It's a reawakened American spirit. It's happened before in US history and will again as those values are forgotten and rediscovered by younger generations.
Steve Bannon already said it, imperfect instruments.
Dimon is a real tea leaf reader which is how you get to run JP Morgan. He was woke when he had to be and is now rounding back to rational thought and behavior. Which is why you can't trust anyone but you can work with everyone until they fuck up
I actually believe that RR did not know about arms for hostages. He might also have thought it was a neat idea but I'm not sure. There was a lot of the cocaine involved in that deal

He's banging the Prime Minister of Italy.
Upvote.

Yup the Twitter files opened up the eyes to a lot of the corruption the feds were forcing on Dorsey et al

I'm against EV subsidies and always have been. But they bought Twitter lol
Space X is the future. Doge is good
You should let it play out
Vivek got benched when he pissed us off. No one gets a free pass

This.
Everyone loved Elon 10 years ago, even lefties.
Now he spends too much time doing ketamine and arguing with people online over video games.
If he delivers on DOGE, then build the statue. Any Republicans that resist DOGE get an Elon funded primary.
Edit: fuck vanilla
If there isn’t PLSS AI in the next four years then we riot.
Me and you imitating him was pretty close

I'm ready to build the bot with @haie and make Stalin pay for it!
Reagan was followed by Bush Twink number 1 and then tossed away Reagan's legacy and raised taxes in exchange for some magic beans.

Reagan was co-opted and probably compromised by the deep state by his second term.
One generation away.

It did derail his second term for a fact
My favorite Iran Contra fact
They used the airport in Little Rock Arkansas
With a young governor Bill Clinton
Who a few years later was President Clinton
And the deep state ran things until 2016
When operative Hillary led the coup against Trump
