You had me until the final sentence

I realized 17 minutes after posting that the final sentence was probably overkill. Ah hell, whatcanyado.

I was a Seahawks fan before it was cool. I vaguely remember Dave Krieg and largent. Became more of a fan when bob bratkowski was coach and his son was on my team. Got to sit with the players wives a couple of times. Went to the complex after the season and got to see Tez Rex as he was grabbing his shit for the pro bowl. Different friends father made one of the best saxophone mouth pieces in the US so of course I got to meet Eugene (pre-super bowl whore days). Had tons of husky gear growing up but the mariners were also fucking awesome then and in constant rotation.
I’d say I was a hawks fan first and became a big fawg fan later but now it’s lessened because college football is loosing what made it unique. -
My first clear memories of the Hawks were listening to them lose on the radio while driving to Duvall Books on Sundays with pops, and then eating corn dogs and jojos at the Duvall mart that had the game on the radio. They typically were still losing. Rick Mirer and Dan McGwire were shit.
My first clear Dawg memory is my dad bawling like a baby when DJ quit. I remember where I was sitting and where he was keeled over. Pops instilled in me what's important. Season tix for 30 years and I went to pretty much every home game. Pre-game Azteca mexican pizza was always da bomb.
I was a basketball/baseball kid and my pro allegiances were always strongest with the Sonics and Ms. The 90s were rad but Mutumbo, Olajuwon, Jordan, and a lack of pitching fucked it all up.
Hawks still have the only Seattle natty that I can remember. I'd trade that Hawks natty for a Dawgs or Ms natty any day. -
wherever the line was drawn on the X's and O's, that's where Csonka was running. Never mind who is there. Note finger display.

how could I forget the super chronics!! It was so convenient in later life that these two were #20 & #40.
Those were some fun teams to watch as well. To this day I won’t buy Starbucks coffee, it’s the principle.

Dawgs, and it is visceral so I can't really say why the NFL never did it for me. This is not the reason, but it's hard to devote both days on a weekend to fucking football. I only have enough football calories for college.
Having said that, if Oregon would have won the whole thing this year I was going to check out and free up Saturdays in the future for interpretive jazz dance. It's getting gross.

Sonics '92 - '98 was fun as hell. I don't think they ever won less than 55 games from 1993 on. Then they fired Karl and made the playoffs 3 times in 10 years. Great move, Hackerley.

If the Seahawks ever drafted a Husky I would watch them.

How very Caple of you to have a tempered and logical fandom, which is an oxymoron btw
