If Demond is amazing and they win the conference or whatever a good season is now then great but we can already see that Demond being great with what Fisch has shown us will just mean like 8 wins and be a waste of a good QB year

That was a decision that was made for them. Even the dumbass Cuog would have left the Pac-12 if presented the same opportunity.
It's what you do afterward that counts. My eyes and ears tell me UW has other priorities.

I think it shows that they're neither poor nor apathetic. They are content to be the Mariners and win 54% on average, while occasionally reaching fringe contender status when everything lines up.
It's a profitable and popular model, keeps things tidy, and tempers fan expectations. There's no sense changing it.

The Mariners being in the same sentence as UW is a fucking insult.
They've never even been in the same realm as a 2016 type UW even.
At least UW's "leadership retreats" at Alderbrook actually fucking get us something once in awhile. Mariners need to go to OKC almost as badly as the seahawks do.
