I think it can/could be pretty great compared to what the bowls turned into. The bowls were great at one time, when the players and coaches cared about them. That's never coming back. The answer to bad CFB after early December is to have more teams thinking they can win the only title that matters anymore. The more the merrier.
Everyone needs to get their reads down in the new age. It could be interesting, or not.

The playoffs are really just the teams with the most money playing with breaks for car insurance commercials. No longer see relevance.
Had this been done long ago it would have been awesome.
