It's easy for me not to drink much, especially in the heat. You saw what can happen. I was coping with the bad Mexican food revenge until you gave me that beer at the turn.
I did drink about a bottle of wine on Christmas Eve. That's a big deal for me. No ill effects though.

I’ve been successfully shaving for a while now. Instead of a couple of stiff drinks at night to unwind, I will have an edible instead. Probably in the 4-6 range per week now for drinks. We do happy hour with friends a couple tims a week, and I have completely stopped drinking in bars/restaurants. I’d rather pour my own at home for half the price.
I will let go on vacation, but go dry for a month coming off of it. I didn’t drink at all for 2 months of 2024. I would hate to know my drinks per week rate from 25-45, when I was doing the Coors Light thing…

When my dad was my age he was still putting down 40 plus Bud Lights a week, easy. He’s dialed that back to probably 8 beers a week now.

I can’t even fathom knocking back the amount of booze those in my parents’ generation did.

My dad was drunk from 1945 to his death in 1980
Fortunately not a mean drunk. A quiet drunk
I didn't even realize it growing up
Well stocked booze cabinet and drinks after work every day
And their bridge club…

They beat Hitler and Tojo. They earned it.

Not quite that old - but beat the Commies in Korea.
Drinkers in the 60s and 70s were next level.
-
*tied the commies in Korea.
I kid. I kid. -
At the end of the day, if a person is consuming alcohol, the body is processing sugar. Fermented sugar.
Physiologically speaking, it's all downhill from there. That's a lot of acid in the system.
