Doog take: Conerly should portal to UW for his last season. Would make him and his dad legends in his hometown instead of a forever ass clown who took the bag to go 1-3 against UW and win a Fiesta Bowl over Liberty. It's more nuanced than that. The guy's been pumping money in to build it, which reportedly includes plans to leave a billion $+ just to the football program for an endowment that is separate from the other funds he's giving/leaving to the school. Oregon is going to see a windfall when he dies.

People here struggle on a point that for whatever reason has not been hard for me to understand and accept: the guy ran track there and cares about the place. Just like T. Boone Pickens funds Okie State, Jerry J. has love for Arkansas, a bunch of rich people we've never heard of love Alabama and USC, etc. etc. etc.
