Rumblings on the internets that the former Purdue HC is being considered as a co-DC with Robert Bala. Called one of the stingiest defenses in America his last year at Illinois prompting his promotion to HC at Purdue. He’s young, has a history as a successful play caller in the Big10 and he’s from LA. This would give me a major boner. I just figured UW wouldn’t consider a young guy with so much upside because when do they ever do that? Make it happen Jedd.

Walters was canned at Purdue. He was a DC at Missouri from 16-20 and at Illinois in 21 and 22. He’s called plays for many years. Some guys just aren’t good in the big chair. UW would be a nice fit for him to get back to what he does best. The Bienemy thing is weird. He sucks, not sure what he brings but another failed NFL voice. What is it he does well and can improve at UW? I think Fish just wants to show off his Super Bowl rings on recruiting visits. Be a pro.

IMHO, Walters coming in would be an improvement over Steve Belichick. He's likely a better recruiter and would harvest SoCal, Colorado, and the midwest nicely.
Been a successful DC in the SEC and the B10. You make contacts when you coach in certain areas. I’m sure he could be clued into more than a few kids that want to make a trip west to play ball. I’m all in on this guy. I earmarked him and Jim Lenhard when Bill took the job at NC. Just thought Jedd wouldn’t look at college coaches to fill the position. I’m pretty stoked at the possibility of this dude coming to Seattle.

Knowing UW's history, UW will make the playoff next year, Fisch leaves, and upper campus hires Bienemy as HC to make the local media feel good.
I like the Walters hire. He’s a very good DC and I also like that he was such a massively shitty head coach no one in their right mind will hire him to be a head coach for several more years at least.
Jedd will sell the shit outta the “Bienemy coached Pat Mahomes” angle, which may land us a dumb croot or two. Or not. IWIBI🤷♂️
