Wonder what this means for Makell Esteen. I imagine the transfers are part of the bridge to the young guys who will be RS-Sophs (Holmes) and RS-Frosh (2 or 3 guys).
Both safeties Fisch is bringing in are guys that tackle. Esteen can’t.. and when he does he gets hurt. The whole class so far on the D side are guys who tackle the football. I’m not sure about the O side of the ball and what Fisch is doing. The OT is decent, bringing Hatchett back i don’t think moves the needle all that much. Missing on Dwyer for a low chance shot @ Cook who hasn’t done a damn thing, is risky. The Oline needed more work than the result. Unless they have a guy or two in the playoffs they a targeting.
Good points so Esteen will probably portal after the bowl game.
I like the OT. He's very experienced and played against good competition. He's easily better than Azzopardi and Faasolo (at least when he was a RS-Frosh). The older Hatchett was good enough to get poached by Oklahoma and it's not like he'll be starting as a RS-Frosh or RS-Soph.
As for Dwyer, that was surprising but maybe the bag he wanted didn't match what they thought his worth was. If they miss on Cook, WR is one of the easiest spots to fill.
Here's another thought: Florida received a portal commit from the UCLA WR and then is the likely favorite to get the 5 star WR (from FL) who decommitted from Oregon. With those two guys coming in, they may not have room for Cook so he may pop to UW.
The question is can they put up those numbers at the next level. Broussard put up big numbers in 2023 at Sac St and wasn't even close to that output in the Big10.
And like Broussard, and Titalli, both of these safeties don't pass the eye test for playing at this level. I'm not holding my breath on any of these Big Sky/lower level transfers.
McLaughlan is 6’2” 190 and Christian is 6’1” 196. With an offseason of P4 nutrition and training I’ll bet both tip the scales at or over 200lbs by fall camp. That’s plenty big for the BIG.

Thaddeus could play into this too…
Give me one of Thad (if he can come back with the new ruling) or Tac Davis.
CJ Christian I the boat. Church school again!

The left bicep seems a bit smaller than the right one for some reason. The ocean of fear seems more predominate at the time of this pic.
hopefully it says douche in a circular shape on his stomach
dick cheese, undefeated.

Taariq Al-Uqdah. Sounds like an explosive player.
This would be a big get and I like that this staff is going for play makers.
@PurpleBaze true?
