Oh sweet fucking Geezus

We're now making movies about the black women who sorted the mail in WWII and treating it like Saving Private Ryan.

Jesus, the length of that trailer too.

I’m going to manage not to watch it without being upset by its existence.
Some (most) of you have way too much time on your hands.
-
-
I kinda want to see how much mail got sorted
-
You spend as much or more time than most people in here in a forum in which you are universally hated and considered an idiot.
Time on hands indeed.
-
It’s my ministry and outreach to the stupid.
You’re welcome.
-
Whatever you have to tell yourself you miserable sack of shit.
-
I don’t do it for the gratitude. Good thing, eh?
-
I've told you I'm grateful for the example you set.
-
The hate is swelling in you now.

Ern posting drunk again

Another fan.

I love history. I love even minor historical stories like this. But this is at best a 30 minute documentary on PBS, it's not a movie.
-
your acts of charity and missionary work are far more Christian than anything these bumfucks have been anywhere close to.
-
Dazzler does charity down at the Cock Pit bar!

I saw this movie, in theater, for… reasons. It is truly awful. Many movies of the genre are heavy on character archetypes, but this one goes to flat-out caricature. The overwrought and under-thought dialog is a throwback to the quality of faith-based movies from 10-15 years ago. Furthermore, unforgivable historical inaccuracies. For example, the death of FDR is brought up (April 1945). Following that in the movie, two soldiers are blown up as result of driving over an unexploded bomb. However, German aerial bombing of England had been essentially over for almost a year at that point. One bright point, Susan Sarandon was a very good Eleanor Roosevelt.

I wonder if there's a scene where one of the ladies loses her arm in the mail sorting machine and then picks it up and runs off with it.
-
Yes, but it's the racist white mail sorting manufacturer who is to blame. They didn't worry about making safe machines because they knew black women would be using them and their lives just didn't have any value to the evil white businessmen.
-
Oh when will someone finally recognize the contributions made by the whites?
-
Would they ever make a movie about women who sorted mail during WWII and they only reason they make it was because of the color of the women's skin? This doesn't have anything with whites, other than liberal white guilt, this has to do with just how pathetic and paternalistic white leftists are toward their black pets.
-
blob obviously cares a lot.
I already don’t watch too many shows to let the ones I don’t watch upset me.
-
Yeah, we remember you not mentioning Sound of Freedom. Geezus.
-
Yeah, I'm the only one commenting on this movie. I hate these "historical" movies for a couple of reasons. First of all most people are like you Dazzler, they're historically illiterate, so when these dishonest movies like this and Hidden Figures get made, stupid people start believing that Black women won WWII and Black women are the reason we made it to the moon and whitey took credit for all of their hard work.
Not being a liar like you, I actually value truth and honesty.
-
Why do the whites never get enough credit on the teevee?
-
Retarded as always
-
It's not about crediting anyone on the basis of their skin color. It's about the truth, which we already know you don't give fuck about. If black women were really responsible for winning WWII or getting us to the moon, there's no one more than me that would want that story to be told. You on the other hand, love lying and you love being lied to in support of whatever narrative you want to push.

Woke shit is over. We're done with it.
