His sheer size and the fact he’s actually a defensive lineman and not a tub of goo that UW tried to convert into a defensive lineman five years into his college career is a plus.
I do hope contracts are coming similar to what coaches have with a minimum of a two year contract for players. If they want to leave after 1 year, there should be a buyout.
Now reports Ewers is going to the NFL in 2025. Not sure he would have made sense for Oregon. Who was the last QB they had with his level of mobility? Brady Leaf?
If Moore is officially a bust in Eugene then Ewers would be a nice fit in Steins offense because he can’t throw past 20 yards that well. He’s great at the short stuff.
As much as we make fingering for the short passing game, it’s frustrating to watch as a fan of the opposing team. It seems like the QB always has a wide open guy, usually running and with room to keep running.
I hate that offense and that's a compliment to it. It feels like we're back to the years of their pass catchers constantly with no one near them. I don't think it would work as well without a mobile QB though.

Willis is good on film; he knows what he's doing and can move like an OT should.
Pepa makes me pitch tent. Massive body, veteran, and had a good offer list coming out of HS:

he’s looking for a bag. Dudes that size don’t grow on trees. Too lazy to find film so I’ll be interested to see whose going after him.

Reports that Ewers has a 4 million offer from a B1G school. Texas ready for Manning. Oh and the playoffs
Crazy
Where did you see the $4 million offer? Must be Ohio State.
Didnt Ohio State already pay him 1million out of high school? Am I remembering that right?
I think he'll be in Husky Stadium next year with an O on his helmet
Seems like Oregon checks both the Needs a QB box and Has Unlimited Money box. I don’t think Dante Moore is the guy there.
What's crazy is Texas is in the playoffs now. Focus?
UW has beaten Ewers twice so that might as well go for the hat trick next year.

The story on X was the NFL thinks he could use another year in college but Texas doesn't want to lose Arch so he gone
Ohio State has an O on the helmet too
See what I did there?
