You take guys that were dominant and winners at the lower level first, then the portal 4/5* legends that “coach was mean to me and I didn’t see the field.” ultimately the best would be solid high level performers that just didn’t like the program they were in or being developed correctly
Apparently Tacario Davis is in the portal and doesn't seem to be even considering UW. Talks of Texas, which is the school everyone tends to use to get more money out of Oregon. Fisch is a bigger fish charlatan than the Gorton's fisherman.
The whole point of evaluating guys in HS is to determine how good they will play in college. Every second they spend on campus you need to start moving the evaluation weight from their HS time to their college time. After a couple years in college you can all but wipe out anything they did in HS from your memory
yeah, instances exist (not many) where kids legitimately want to be somewhere and sit behind some badasses for a year or two then for whatever reason along comes a bag or a new shitty coach they don’t jive with and they want out.
I don’t know if I’m properly articulating what my brain is trying to say but think along the lines of OKGs.
I don’t know if this makes anymore sense than what Canada had to say.
He’s bag shopping and I don’t blame him. I also don’t think DB is a position of need. Don’t think WR is either but we seem to be bag hunting their 🤷🏻♂️
If Fisch can’t get any of the good Arizona players (Moe, REDACTED, Taco), he sucks. All guys he initially recruited and with more budget this year and he doesn’t deliver, fuck him. Next coach up.
Huffman or one of those guys said UW is in good position for Tacario. Sounds like he got torched this year but prior to that, was considered one if the top dbs in the country in terms of potential
We need upgrades at every position other than basically QB, RB, and WR1. DB? Prsysock didn't set the world on fire, the next two most-experienced returning CBs really struggled and there's nothing proven returning at safety. Davis is built exactly like Prysock and despite having a rough 2024 it sounds, is supposed to be the better of the two.
if ever there’s a position where a freshmen could step in and impact, despite needing more size, wouldn’t it be WR? Muhammad is an exception to the rule. They don’t make them like that too often. But if you say we need nacho, take em.
How will the Belichick news affect pulling top D talent? If a player is choosing between us and somebody else, the old “well, butt, their D Coordinator is leaving soon” schtick will pop up
There's rumblings that Belichick will try to take most of the defensive staff with him (at least Bala and Sunseri) so we could be looking at another mass portal exit and ground zero rebuild on that side of the ball.
Sounds like Malloe wants the DC job and UCLA would be more than happy to let him go

Get his fat friend.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that.
Never mind, you said “get” not “get rid of”

I don’t understand your strange Canadian reasoning or nomenclature.🤷♂️🤔🤔
What you see now > what you saw before

Bala could be Ballin':
It makes more sense when he says eh? or hoser.
Want! Him and redacted and id say we’ve checked off that portion of the shopping list.

Don't need to worry about that.
Bala needs to be vaulted right away. Pretty sure this is all part of the plan. Fish aint surprised by this.

Fisch would look to poach Nansen from Tejas
If he could pull some of their D talent to replace whatever Belichick takes, then that might put us out ahead
