I can still grab rim with two hands with authority at 38, just like I could at 28 and 18. Never more than that though. Nothing's changed. I have always needed a few more inches to clear the rim w/ a ball. This 6'2.5" white boy w/ no ups has been putting off the work for way too long. I see you, 48. We comin'.
5'10". Back in high school I was able to dunk one-handed and could hang rim pretty easy with two hands. Last time I tried I was about 6" from touching rim. I think I could get back to grabbing the rim with one hand. Young, explosive muscle and ligaments, etc have definitely transitioned to grown man strength at age 43.
FTR, to all the young bucks on here, grown man strength is cooler.
I always think of you fruitcakes when I buy some $9.99 Sisters Bakery Sourdough loaf made with virgin olive oil. Stuff make some amazing avocado toast! No brown streaks in my avocados all week @chuck !
No. I couldn't dunk on a dunk hoop now. The knees used to only trouble me in the landing. Now it's the "launch" too.
I could graze the bottom of the rim in HS, and again a few years later when I played a lot of pickup hoops. I never expected to dunk at my height. I'm not Spud Webb or Nate Robinson. I know some of you probably thought I was.
Please note, this guy is using a faggy nerf ball thing. That's like one step above a tennis ball where you can effectively touch the rim and dunk.
Half of dunking is being able to control the ball. The Throbber could dunk a volleyball in 7th grade because that's what he could palm with ease. Throwing down with authority! with a real basketball took a year or so more with a real b-ball.

The Throbber prefers to finger roll.
Seems unlikely. Would really have to flip to serious plyometric work
I could two hand dunk in HS with no running start. Nothing special for 6’6” obviously.
I don’t think I can even touch the rim now.

I'm skiing way better now than even just 2 or 3 years ago from racking up tons of days and old man strength.
And I'm a vastly better skiing than I was a 18, although part of that is the gear has improved exponentially.
I’m turning 50 in two months
I pulled both my hamstrings and tore my Achilles just reading this thread
We need more threads about old man stretching and less ones about canola oil.
Both. We need both.

The $3 avocados have been solid for me lately. They're about half as big as those ones I complained about though

I LOATHE VANILLA

I was never tall enough to be in the discussion. My forte was having dimes and distribution.
Glad to see you settled for $6 avocados.

Noted. I only read the headlines.

Can confirm.
