Stringfellow felt like a guy who we would never get that we somehow got. Brick shithouse WR with speed with an SEC name. Too bad he didn't like Seahawks fans, and he wasn't that good.
Mateaki - That picture was awesome, especially when we had so much less to go off back then. If I remember correctly he ended up being a typical overhyped Neu recruit and was too small to play DT and too slow to play DE.
Those DLine recruits were all big time gets. Tuli was the only one that was decent. I thought UW would have an impenetrable wall up front for 3-4 years. Never happened.
Seems like everytime uw takes a project at OL that plays basketball and they think could develop into a great OT, they fail. Atoe was one of many that it that mold.
I'd include Saama Paama, who looked like he might be the biggest freak of all of them. I think Taimani was a decent recruit in that group too and shockingly is the only one to get any run in the NFL somehow.
Probably Isaiah Stanback. 6'4", 75 yard arm, 4.4 speed. He was unlucky enough to commit to a QB guy, but get coached by Gilby and Ty, so it's impossible to say what he could've become.
Stanback feels like a guy who would have done better now. QBs weren't developed much at all before college even that recently. They just played their high school seasons and a lot of teams barely threw the ball. No 7x7, way less camps, and stuff. Also, terrible injury luck in 2006.
I remember thinking that cooper and the other 4 star RB they got at the same time were taking sark to the promise land. Man how I’ve become jaded and full of haie since then.

Less acronyms please.
Unsure what that means.
Danny Mateaki. Somebody please find that picture of him in his stance. The real OGs know what I’m talking about.
