I thought I had posted this, but in my opinion Jimi is the "greatest" guitar player for a lot of reasons but Eddie is the most influential. One testament to Jimi was he was so unique that he was hard to replicate whereas with like Eddie 95% of people who have picked up a guitar and tried to play since have basically been doing an Eddie impression in a lot of ways. Jimmy Page is probably closer too but he still feels like a blue rock guy which there were plenty before.

TIL or least remembers that Eddie VH is dead.
Most influential guitar player of all time. Yes over Jimi
Nope. I'm gonna beg to differ with you on that point.
There are 3 great leaps forward in rock guitar, and IMHO, they each get a .333% share of the most influential natty.
@chuck
Jimi
Eddie
Yes, I'm certainly #1 on the list.
Chuck Berry was ok too. He stole it all from me.
I knew that comment would trigger Yella.
I would probably put Jimi at #1 by a cunt hair, but only because he arrived before Eddie did.
Marty McFly > Chuck Berry.
Ehh, fuck it. EVH > all.
I'm gonna learn you some respeck for the history of the genre if it hair lips the governor.
