Thanks Taft!

Start Will and Williams
-
Tough place for pure freshman but probably best chance
-
Keith price held up decently well in his first start
-
it’s been time. Baptism by fire.
-
Can we rename the thread to be:
Huard: QB Demond Williams Jr. "needs to start" vs NUMBA ONE Oregon
-
cue the cliche…
“At this point in the season, he’s not a freshman anymore.”
-
i’ve seen the Will Rogers show. We don’t stand a chance.
we don’t stand a chance with Williams either but at least be more fun to watch
-
also the games in November are the ones you remember
-
Since we(?) already made the The Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl, better to go with the high ceiling guy. It's also unknown if McCree will finally be back at LT and if he'll be rusty (don't know if he's been practicing yet) and while Tafai is coming along, he is still a RS-Frosh with limited experience so Demond's escapability is also a plus.
-
Why is Williams high ceiling when he hasn't done shit? He's listed at 5'11 187 lol. Good luck finding Kyler Murray.
-
Most underrated UW player of all time
-
Uhhhh, a high ceiling means great potential. He was an Army All-American and heavily recruited coming out of high school.
According to your logic, Will Rogers should start because he has a lot of stats to his name and is listed at 3" taller hahaha.
-
Starting Will Rogers would be the equivalent of throwing in the towel before the game starts. With Williams there is the chance he has a Sam Huard Apple Cup type game but he also gives UW just about the only chance of winning
-
Because you’re gay.
-
Can you line up both QBs behind the center, then alternately hike the ball to either one? Both pretend to have the ball for the first few seconds. Or are you limited to just 1 QB behind the center?
-
In shotgun you can whether at a depth of 3 yards or 5 yards. In high school, my team actually played a school that had 3 guys in the backfield and at varying depths in shotgun (1 QB, 1 FB, and 1 RB). They kinda sucked though so they didn't have much success.
Regardless, why not have a package with some plays that have both Williams and Rogers in the huddle? The first play could have Rogers lined out wide and Williams in shotgun before he does RPO with Coleman and Boston. Heck, Rogers could even start in the slot and then motion into the backfield as a decoy.

don’t fuck with the ice box.
-
Most popular player on any mediocre or bad team is the back-up q.b….
Fagbook is full of 12s arguing about Geno Smith 24/7
-
Anyone who has looked objectively at UW’s offense when Williams is on the field vs.when Rogers is QB can see the team plays harder and is tougher to defend with Williams.
This isn’t that hard. (Yeah, that’s what she said.)
-
The threat of Williams running is all it takes to get a rhythm going with carries for two backs. There's never any sense that the running game is going to click when Rogers is in.
-
I found the solution in this vid. You don't have to snap to the person right behind the center…shotgun it to anyone:
-
7 men are required on the line of scrimmage and one of those men has to snap it backwards. He can snap it anywhere he wants, legally, as long as it's backwards. Once someone picks that ball up, and they want to throw the ball forward, they must realize that this is only allowed once per play, and choose wisely.
-
If UW tries that play, Rogers will find a way to fumble it even if he doesn’t get the ball
-
Yup. Or pick 6 incoming
-
If we start Rogers, I think there's at least a 50% chance that UWs first play from scrimmage will be a pick
