I hope Fish doesn’t overthink this one. He’s playing for the future and if he’s “going to build with HS recruits” he needs to put his fucking money where his mouth is and start d-money the rest of the way.

I'm not sire who our RB coach is but trying to flip a San Diego State commit in November is Bonerpopper-esque.
Of course, Bonerpopper would have just pushed for the commitment in May sp that he didn't have to work the rest of the season, but similar results
It's tough to say because he recruited Coleman and then got him to come up to Montlake with him.
There's also a chance that Carr had an impressive senior season and showed something more to him.
Lastly, it could be that someone like Sam Adams II recently informed the staff that he is going to transfer for his senior season to have a shot to start somewhere else so UW could be losing 3 RBs (Davis, Adams II, Ngata) for the 2025 season and thus a spot opened up to take Carr.

Don't love going after an SDSU. Running back talent at least on 247 is abysmal out west though. There's one guy who is even a four star and that's it. Seems to be the case more and more each year and RB seems like a position that's pretty active in the portal every year.
