Curtis Williams was paralyzed during a game against Stanford in Palo Alto. Washington had a third quarter lead of 24-6 but saw it fall apart until Stanford took a 28-24 lead with about a minute to play. But then Marques Tuiasosopo led the Dawgs 80 yards in 3 plays to score a touchdown pass to Justin Robbins (see photo). Washington won 31-28, but their locker room was silent afterwards.

Stanford has always been dedicated to not being dedicated

Life goes by fast.
24 years. Fuck.

Time just flies…
I wish every Husky team had that team's moxie

I’d say 2023 did. Until it didn’t mid January

I was there and having a serious manic episode. Talked lots of shit to Stan fans and was correct re: the final drive. Didn’t understand the seriousness of CW’s injury at the time. Crazy day. Exhilarating but ultimately very sad.

I remember listening to that game ending as I was ferrying my kids around from one birthday party gig to another. Was sitting in the parking lot of Lynnwood Lanes when UW scored the winning TD. I honked. I was one of those people.
Good times.

24 years ago? This photo looks like it’s from WW2.

If 2024 had that teams moxie they are 6-2 minimum, maybe 7-1. This team has a needle dick persona on the road and I don’t watch them when they aren’t at HS. Not since about third quarter Iowa. What’s the point? They are who they are. That said, they’re beating USC this weekend. They’re actually sorta tough at home.

But Sam Darnold lives for moments like this

One of, if not the, most bizarro games in Husky history. RIP Curtis Williams, paid the ultimate price. Fukin shame they don't honor him.
