Well UW had his number painted on the sidelines for about 15 minutes until the Victory and Ruins articles came out, then CW was memory holed at UW.

I was there. Never been more wet and miserable at a game. Also remember, Oregon "lost" their game against, ASU I believe, while we were still ahead. Some cheer queer yelled out that Oregon lost, putting us in first place and in the Rose Bowl driver seat. Then Stanford hits, what seemed like the7th straight onside kick recovery and word gets out Oregon actually won on some last minute retarded fluke shit. Those last three plays seemed like the most important three plays in UW history at that particular time.
