Might as well kick off a new thread. Especially since one of the last great hard rock bands of the past that is still touring with their complete classic lineup just rolled through both Portland and Tacoma this week.
Review: Iron Maiden - 10/16/2024 - Tacoma Dome
Bruce still has his fast ball and I enjoyed the show. I thought it leaned too heavy on their most recent album, but really enjoyed most of the new stuff. The more old timers thought it was weaker than previous tours, due to the lack of older material and thought the stage production has been diminished. But, still the complete classic lineup (+1), so totally cool to see.

I saw Dwight Yoakum pass out on stage at Railbird.
Saw the Weezer headline and the Flaming Lips open on 10/4/2024 at the Key Arena (refuse to call it the other name)
The Flaming Lips were cool and quirky, but I'll go ahead and confess my love for Weezer. It's the 30th anniversary of the Blue Album and they closed the concert by playing it straight through from start to finish. Bucket list concert for me and it delivered.
bonus review - to save money and hassle of staying downtown, my brother and I stayed at a hotel in Lynnwood and took the light rail down then the monorail to seattle center, gotta be honest, it was pretty rad. It was only 50 years to late but Seattle's doing the right thing with the light rail system.
on the Mt Rushmore of 90s albums for me.
First vinyl that I purchased. It shreds.
Which pressing did you acquire?
Nothing fancy. Just went down to the local record store and grabbed a standard issue new pressing. No add-ons or deluxe stuff.
When they released all of the special edition stuff for the 30th anniversary I was too late. Stock sold out online in minutes
Some years back I got the Mobile Fidelity pressing which is by far the best reissue. Out of print now for some time, however.
Their pressing of Pinkerton is still available for $39.99 and very good.

Iron Maiden - 11/12/2024 - CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore
Great show! Same show as Tacoma, but I enjoyed it considerably more since I knew what to expect and had great seats.
I just took my son to They Might be Giants last week. They were good, 30th anniversary of Flood. No shredding, but the circle is complete.
