some of you guys were right about Rutgers, BUT

46 new players on the roster and a new coaching staff is a lot of change.
Someone said it that the team actually has talent. The o-line generally played great. It's Fisch that's the problem.
So, the dilemma is, Fischer put together a roster that has talent and can win games. He is recruiting well.
At the same time, the team isn't disciplined and is the most un-clutch team I've ever seen.
Does the team need to gel and clean some things up? Will they win 10 games in year 2, or year 3?
Or, is Fisch cooked and this is what we will get - Sark 2.0
I don't even know. Weird to watch.

-
Okay, but in what world would Sark win 10 games at Arizona?
I'm confused.
-
i honestly think fisch doesnt even give a shit about this season. he knows he has a shit ton of guys, new conference, and williams waiting/playing a bit.
-
How did Zona look so good compared to this highschool Allstar team
-
Did Fisch cook? Who did he bring in? The Portland State center? Rogers was already here and had nowhere to go. He brought in Coleman who looked hurt mysteriously out of nowhere and I'm waiting to sit out the season and transfer to Oregon or some shit. Prysock doesn't get thrown against but that also could be just that they're playing special ed offenses they should hold to 3 points each week. The rest of the players making any plays were already here.
-
I watched him more than 81% (ROFL!!!!!) of this board at U of A. He's better than DickRod, and Stoops, and Mackovic, and way better than Sumlin. Maybe not Larry Smith. I'm not willing to give up on him with huge roster chaos. But there are some inexcusable things too.
-
Dick Rod won 10 games at AZ
-
If you think having an 8 win talent is good enough for $7.7m a year then I can't help you.
Our best offer to deboer was for $9.4m after we won the Sugar Bowl.
Fuck this program.
-
It was never about the money. His agent told him in October that Bama is his if he finishes the year strong and that's why he didn't sign the UW contract then or in December
-
If you look at the box score you take that 10/10. This team does unbelievably stupid shit, and Fisch has made unbelievably stupid game management decisions.
If Fisch doesn't prove that those are rare occurences, then yeah he is Sark 2.0. But these are all fixable problems. As annoying as it is I would rather be here than have an offense that can't move the ball, or a defense that gives up 500 yards passing.
-
It wasn’t a talent problem tonight. He put together a good roster and still sucks so Fisch definitely isn’t the problem is what pgos is wondering.
-
The team looks both better and worse than it should
-
Rebuilding is a thing of the past. You can throw a new team together in one year with the portal. Fisch failed miserably in the portal this off season. On top of that, our roster has a ton of senior starters who will have to be replaced next year with not much behind them. There's a good chance Coleman takes a paycheck for a winning team next year as well.
-
Coleman is gone to the NFL after this year
-
Yeah, he's legit.
Too bad he has a shitty line and coach to carry 25 times a game for us.
He's getting fucking paid for ffs.
-
I don't disagree with you.
But the fact that we didn't go all-in on the coach that we had been looking for since Gil Dobie is mind boggling.
-
His line wasn't even shitty
-
I call okay lines shitty and obviously you don't.
-
9.5 yards a carry.
-
From what I've seen of our oline, I would like to credit most of that on Coleman.
-
Deboer was obviously really good but he didn't recruit at all and could have easily lost a few games he shouldn't have. He's also probably going to die of ozempic overdose in 18 months anyways
-
There was some info about DeBoer using the indoor practice facility whenever it rained. I think he wanted out of Washington and wanted to go some place with better weather. And then Bama called.
-
For some reason, I’m not even mad about last night.
Fisch was hired in the middle of January. Most coaches are hired by mid December so he started a month behind schedule.
There are still communication issues which I think are caused by the late hire.
The penalties like the one on Center and then the one Ass Party are fucking dumb player penalties.
The penalty on Davis is a coaching issue.
The dumbass who ran on the field? That was the worst of the penalties because it led directly to a Rutgers TD. If there’s a situation when you’d rather not block a FG, that was it.
Some of the play calling and clock management has me scratching my head. 1st and goal from the 7 and he calls run-run-pass-pass and I don’t think either pass was a play action call. 1st and 2nd downs were primed for play action after Coleman gashed them.
4th and 5 down 11 and attempts a FG when Gross already missed 1 and he’s at the far end of his range? On the 3rd down play, Jackson left a couple yards on the field but trying to juke a guy instead of just diving forward. I think had he gotten those extra 2 yards, Fisch goes for it. Regardless, it was a pussy move to go for the FG.
Oh well. We’re stuck with him for a couple seasons.
-
who gives a fuck what fisch did last year
-
The days of building for the future are done. We'll have another 40% roster turnover off season and away we go.
College football sucks now, is what it is.
-
DeBoer didn’t even have to build a roster. Just portal in some elite talent at a few key spots and was off to the races.
-
I disagree with this take. We look capable of being a good team, but the discipline, play calling, and personnel decisions are costing us, and that's on the coaches. Roster turnover should not affect these aspects to the degree it has.
