I need to check release dates for some years like 1967, 69, 71, 77, etc, but still this has to be up there.
August 12, 1991 - Metallica // Black Album
August 27, 1991 - Peal Jam // Ten
September 17, 1991 - GNR // Illusion I & Illusion II
September 24, 1991 - Nirvana // Nevermind
September 24, 1991 - Red Hot Chili Peppers // Blood Sugar Sex Magic
October 8, 1991 - Soundgarden // Badmotorfinger
Comments
September 18, 1979 - Black Sabbath // Paranoid
September 19, 1970 - Neil Young // After the Gold Rush
September 23, 1979 - Santana // Abraxas
October 5, 1970 - Led Zeppelin // Led Zeppelin 3
November 1, 1970 - Grateful Dead // American Beauty
November 9, 1970 - Derek and the Dominoes // Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs
You mean to say 1970, but yeah, this stretch might top 1991.
Yeah, fat fingered those dates on my cellphone
Holy shit this right here
I was there
Layla topped my list over stairway to heaven and the rest of the usual top 5 all time songs
Layla destroys Stairway due to the outro which is one of the most beautiful bits of music ever recorded. See the scene everyone getting whacked in Goodfellas at the Lufthansa heist.
When you have both Clapton and Duane Allman on one track it's gold, Jerry.
Might be a few days over the 2 month mark, but still…
Sept 26, 1969 - Abbey Road // The Beatles
Oct 22, 1969 - Led Zep II
Oct 29, 1969 - Willy and The Poor Boys // CCR
Nov 4, 1969 - The Allman Bros Band (Debut Album)
Nov 28, 1969 - Let it Bleed // Stones
I'd probably go with this one. The one you listed in the OP has three bands and albums that I don't care for. @Purple_Pills had a better list too.
September 1, 1991: Washington 45, Detroit 0
September 7, 1991: Washington 42, Stanford 7
September 9, 1991: Washington 33, Dallas 31

I'm going with 1991.
Seattle won the natty in 1991.
also joe Gibbs is the goat.
91 was the best year for my musical upbringing probably
Quit stealing my culture.
Lombardi sucked for the Skins.
1971 doesn't appear to be in the running. Sticky Fingers, Who's Next and Led Zep IV were all pretty spread out over the year. LA Woman came out like a week before Sticky Fingers, but then there's not a lot of heavy hitters in the 2 month stretch.
First winning record in years
1977 says hold my beer !!
9.16.77 - Talking Heads // '77
9.23.77 - Steely Dan // Aja
9.29.77 - Billy Joel // The Stranger
10.14.77 - David Bowie // Heroes
10.17.77 - Skynyrd - Street Survivors @Joey
10.21.77 - Meat Loaf // Bat out of Hell
10.28.77 - Sex Pistols // Never Mind to Bollocks
11.4.77 - Ramones // Rocket to Russia
You must read the same auto- populated news from Google as I do.
You got that right
Some Meta spam sent me a pic of a bunch of cassettes from the same 2 months on 1991. And I was like, that's kewl, I should research various 2 month stretches!!
