Nice fuckin' play call…move to florida already

5. Warshington (2-1)

After all those years that the UW Huskies made their Thanksgiving living out of snatching the Apple Cup from the favored hands of Washington State, now they played the game in September as a new nonconference game and did so at the end of the same week that Wazzu helped orchestrate the Gravedigger-like resurrection of the Pac-Whatever of which Washington was a member like 10 minutes ago. Hey, Huskies, if you're nice, maybe they'll let you come back. No? You're good? Cool cool cool. We'll check back in mid-November after your trips to Piscataway, Iowa City, Bloomington and State College. Then again, maybe you'll like having more frequent frequent flyer miles than George Clooney in "Up in the Air."

All those years? You mean like two of them. 25 years ago Seriously, how many times has wazzu been favored.

    Makes sense. DAWG SENSE

Weird blurb. Feels like it was written by a Coug who thinks they're really funny and witty but aren't. I think the Cougs were favored in 2018 and 2002?

Naw, we're good. Keep your shitty little Mountain West varsity league.

Simply traveling in and out of Pullman six times a year for road games is possibly less convenient than those road trips.

Even going to Pullman from in-state is such a headache that I bitch out every single year. 6+ hour drive, nowhere to stay in town. Not staying in Spokane and then driving because I can't drink then, etc.

Versus direct flights just out of Portland and Seattle.

Also not flying into Pullman in some little plane either.

It's been tragic to watch ESPN sink in ratings, and relevance, and money. Maybe they can call up Phil and see if he'll give them more money to write a story about Lanning no one wants.

That bottom 10 article has been try hard cringe AF for years.

ESPN writes some dumb shit these days, but bottom 10 is by far the worst. I seriously questioned if the last one I read was written by a high schooler.

It’s probably all ChatGPT now using ESPN/Disney rule sets. Thus, it will suck.

See, took me 15 seconds to write a 4 paragraph summary of why the huskies sucked vs the coog using ChatGPT:

In their 2024 loss to the Washington State Cougars, the Washington Huskies struggled on both sides of the ball, resulting in a disappointing performance. One of the key reasons for their defeat was the breakdown in their defense, which failed to contain the Cougars' explosive passing attack. Washington State's quarterback shredded the Husky secondary with pinpoint throws and quick decisions, leaving the defense scrambling. The Huskies couldn’t generate enough pressure on the quarterback, allowing the Cougars' offense to operate with ease.

Offensively, the Huskies were out of sync throughout the game. Their star quarterback struggled with accuracy, throwing several costly interceptions, including one in the red zone that killed a critical scoring drive. The offensive line had trouble protecting him, which further disrupted the rhythm of the passing game. As a result, the Huskies couldn’t establish any consistent offensive momentum, often stalling on key drives and failing to convert third downs.

Additionally, the Huskies' running game was virtually non-existent. Washington State's front seven consistently clogged running lanes, forcing the Huskies into a one-dimensional attack. Without a balanced offense, the Huskies became predictable, allowing the Cougars' defense to tighten up in key moments. The inability to control the clock with the run game left the Huskies vulnerable to Washington State’s high-tempo offense, contributing to their fatigue and mistakes late in the game.

Finally, the Huskies were plagued by poor game management and special teams miscues. Missed field goals, a botched punt, and questionable play-calling in critical situations highlighted the team's struggles in executing the fundamentals. Combined with a lack of discipline, as seen through costly penalties, the Huskies couldn’t recover from their errors, handing the Cougars a well-deserved victory.

The Bottom 10 likes taking recent contenders that suddenly turn into fuckups. The AOG is on record here for months. I never liked the idea of hiring a tennis player for coach. There is a difference between swinging a racket with your visor on and strapping it on then plowing into a linebacker.

Maybe Elon Musk can buy ABC/ESPN and make them real men’s networks again.

American Sportsman, Wide World of Sports and PBA Bowling.

And buy Sports Illustrated at the same time and make body painting on hot chicks (no dicks) great again.
