Yeah it's not easy to commit. I've learned by watching "my friends" .
Way back in my late teens, when I had prematurely decided that I was a good golfer, I had a little incident that was embarrassing. I broke my steel shafted 3 wood over my knee and threw the head end into a pond.
Problem was that the shaft had creased, not just broke, and the sharp edges slid through my hand as I threw it. It ripped a nasty gash across my palm from one side to the other and across the first knuckle of several fingers. Round over. I had to wrap my hand in my golf towel as it was pouring blood.
As a youngster (18 or so), I fired my 9 iron into a tree…got it out, but the club I used to get it out replaced the 9. Lather, rinse, repeat X 2…I was using my dad’s clubs. It wasn’t funny at the time…
Interesting stat to follow on Scottie is going to be how he plays on new courses to him. So far, all of his winning has been done on courses he's familiar with and his no shows are at majors and PGA tour stops that are new sites to him.

It was worth it. That's how you commit.
