Uh, no. I don't use DEI as a crutch for an argument or just an ad hominem attack. DEI is real and the whole point is to hire and promote incompetents that can't compete for the job. Calling me a NAZI for accurately describing an incompetent Didn't Earn It hire is a Godwin's Law convention related to Godwin's Law. Your describing Trump as a fascist without any ability to describe what makes him a fascist is Ern lining up as a prime example of Godwin's law.

"Whoever mentions Hitler first, loses the argument" is a convention related to Godwin's law, which states that the likelihood of a Nazi or Hitler comparison increases as an online discussion lengthens.
It's not quite the same. It's Westlinn's Law. The longer a conversation goes, the closer Westlinn will get to blaming DEI for something. It's like a black hole.
And the further away Ern gets from any sort of factual conversation on the issue. The Secret Service couldn't secure a sloped building let alone find a .223 caliber bullet traveling 3000 fps that may have disintegrated when finally hitting a solid surface.
Well, your "conversation" isn't really a conversation now is it? Sounds more like a white flag. I blame anyone that votes for DEI. Not only dem women are for it. You vote for it. You coming out of the closet? The dementia patient is proud to have appointed Cheeto-One to Secret Service Director.
No, there's obviously been a clusterfuck of errors from multiple parties and agencies. What those errors are, and if it's something deep and institutional, are unknown right now. I believe in a chaotic universe, and a bad actor got lucky and took advantage of a lowered guard not expecting anything after hundreds of rallies where nothing happened. Heads will roll, for sure, but I don't believe anything nefarious was afoot beyond the shooter himself. I could be wrong. I don't like making theories with incomplete info, but you asked, so there ya go!
"Heads will roll". Not if the dems are in charge. Accountability takes a back seat to DEI. Failing to secure the high ground a 135 yards from Trump is a clusterfuck of errors. Then blaming a "slope" for not securing the roof is not something deep and institutional and unknown. It is hiring incompetents which is a deep part of the current institutional dem party. That isn't deep or unknown. Keep making excuses.
It's certainly something to investigate but remember, Trump is not president. Ex-presidents are offered protection but it's not anywhere near the protection an active president is. Trump is an incredibly unique phenomenon, insists on huge outdoor rallies all the time, and it's not a big surprise that requests for increased taxpayer funding might be denied with a "get real, bro". Look at it from that perspective. The guy and his campaign supposedly have plenty of money for his own added security that his campaign style requires. Not sure why that should be a government and taxpayer burden.
Coming from the party that wants to gut and defund federal agencies, it kind of sounds like sour grapes and a bit disingenuous.
He's a Presidential nominee not just a former president so 🤷 good try with that equivalence. And an election year no less but but but he's having rallies!
Coming from the party currently in power that's spending more than ww2 kinds disingenuous don't you think?
75,000 irs agents but no more than 20 agents to spare.

All roads lead to DEI. The new Godwin's Law.

You're blaming women. I'm not sure how much further this convo needs to go.

Consider my white flag waved. Enjoy your spoils!
Ern do you think the SS (see what I did there) did a good job?

What do you think of the repeated denials for additional resources being rejected? Budgets just too tight?
A theory by definition is something without complete information. Live a little.

Maybe if the head of the SS actually testified instead of stonewalling we could flesh out the theory
Don't make me me go down the hypothesis vs theory road, Bob!
It makes it looks worse.

@UW_Doog_Bot
I'm glad you're coming around to the importance of non-partisan federal agencies that protect us from our own evils. You're on the right path.
I accept your surrender of the point. Thank you sir.
You guys think I don't like waving the white flag. I fucking love it.
