From the criminal process, sure. But you can still be sued for defamation. Jones isn't going to jail.

Due process requires that a damage award bear a reasonable connection with the actual damage. In this case it doesn't. I agree that there was intentional defamation. A substantial award was warranted but not this.

He called the kids parents actors. Their child just died and he is pulling that crap for profit, because he even testified it was bs... I don't understand why you all supporting Jones here. You could say it is excessive, but most of you have no issue with what he said. We have defamation laws for a reason.
