As an adult it's Deadwood. As a kid no contest
Westworld season one. The only season HBO made.
I have to admit I haven't watched most of the old ones, except for a bit of Bonanza. Always wanted my house to look like the Ponderosa. I have the right trees but my lot too damn small.
Deadwood just smokes the competition in this poll. I love Seasons 1-3 of Yellowstone and Raylan Givens is even better than Seth Bullock, but neither can hold a candle to Deadwood.
Justified is a western?
Harlan County, KY is in the eastern time zone.
Raylan wears a cowboy hat and is a gunfighter. It’s a western.
Justified is an American neo-Western crime drama[2] television series that premiered on March 16, 2010, on the FX network.[3][4]Developed by Graham Yost, it is based on Elmore Leonard's stories about the character Raylan Givens, particularly "Fire in the Hole".[3] Timothy Olyphant portrays Raylan Givens, a tough deputy U.S. Marshal enforcing his own brand of justice.[3]The series revolves around the inhabitants and culture in the Appalachian mountains area of eastern Kentucky, specifically Harlan Countywhere many of the main characters grew up. It also features Lexington, Kentucky, where the local U.S. Marshals office is situated.[5] The series, comprising 78 episodes, was aired over six seasons and concluded on April 14, 2015.[6]
All hat, no cattle.
Westerns need cattle and horses.
Should vote for the Crowd[er] clan show but My vote is for Zorro, celebrating the messican caballero culture in its primal form.
Do love that term “all hat no cattle” which always reminded me of Sark which is why it is so perfect that he is the UT coach now, and that his next job [mark my words] will be the head coach of the cowboys.
I’ve barely watched any of these shows. I had some euro-trash pirated DVDs of Deadwood but they were trash and only got to see part of season 1.
Deadwood is probably the best but I had to give a Bluegrass Homer Vote for Justified which I’ve never seen.
Bonanza has the best theme song though.
Oh for the love of Christ. Some of the greatest Westerns of all time- e.g., Unforgiven, Outlaw Josey Wales, Good, Bad, and Ugly, Tombstone, etc, don't have shit to do with cattle, range wars, etc.
Justified fits the classic western themes of the good lawman (wearing a cowboy hat) battling a gang a outlaws.
Ok, McCloud. (Eastern Time Zone)
Quigley Down Under is a "western" as well.
Based on Coogans Bluff
Hat, cattle, horses.
The defense rests.
Justified isn't a western
No Dixie Mafia out west
Hatfields and McCoys mini-series falls into Western genre as well @PurpleThrobber
