Question about "concessions" in golf match play

As a player you should never expect to be given a putt

That said it’s generally viewed as good sportsmanship to give short putts … even in match play … if the putt is straightforward

Now if we’re talking a 3 foot downhill put with a cup of break … don’t ever give that

if it’s a putt to win the match … probably depends on the circumstances
