Joe advocating federally legalizing weed is on-brand

The alternative with weed is that either its legal and taxed or it is illegal not taxed and the profit goes to the Cartels and makes national forests dangerous. I much preferred to deal with stoners than the idiots that were angry drunks. It ain't coke and definitely not heroin, meth or fentanyl.
I volunteered for the Army on my birthday
They drafted the white trash first, around here anyway
I done two tour's of duty in Vietnam
I came home with a brand new plan
I take the seed from Colombia and Mexico
I just plant it up the holler down Copperhead RoadAnd now the D.E.A's got a chopper in the air
I wake up screaming like I'm back over there
I learnt a thing or two from Charlie, don't you know
You better stay away from Copperhead Road -
You're white washing reality, but I understand your point and generally agree that it's better off being regulated.

I'll go for legalization but no medical marijuana BS tax exemption. Tax it like alcohol and tobacco. Also stricter laws on driving under the influence.
-
Not the appropriate thread but our DUI laws were made to assume that no one can hold 3-5 beers or a joint and drive safely which is beyond fucking stupid.
-
Should be a state issue. The reschedule is fine with me. I was just pointing out that Joe was adamantly against marijuana for decades because of Hunter (probably Ashley too since she’s also an addict) but now it’s a Hail Mary to get votes so one of the few factual principles Joe’s stood upon is thrown out the window for votes.
He’s a very week person who would crumble if Trump’s DOJ and state allies were prosecuting him in multiple locations.

The problem is the experienced and inexperienced have vastly different tolerance levels. Huge difference between a functional heavy drinker and some one who imbibes rarely. Clean up their messes enough times and watch people die or get badly injured you'll change your mind.

5 beers and driving? This guy is getting a DUI at some point.
-
Who said that I drive after that many beers?
I said that the law is fucktarded. Because it is.
-
Yeah, I don't disagree with the policy change but notice he didn't do it year 1 he did it in a desperate move in an election year.
This is the same as dangling student loan forgiveness. If it actually gets done they lose it as a voting issue.

Until they clean up banking for cannabis, it’s still the Wild West.
Lot of growers have a front door business and a back door distribution business through street dealers.
So Joe still hasn’t done shit.
