Bring back steroids and the Kingdome and make baseball great again. Safeco is horrible. Always cold and the ball doesn't fly there at all.
-
Bring back the 'ol concrete bombshelter urinal, huh?
-
All I know is that the ball flew, it was warm, and it was loud as hell. Much better atmosphere. They could've fixed it up and given everyone separate stalls.
-
I hated going to the dome and left every game I ever saw there before it was over. The atmosphere was shit for your average, boring, low scoring weeknight game and that's all I ever saw.
TMobile is a great place to spend a day. I do get tired of seeing hard hit balls float and then die at the track though.
-
You kind of sum up my thoughts between the two. I REMEMBER the big games at the Kingdome for being crazy and loud. I remember the games at TMobile for being able to sit in the sun and have a beer while pretending to watch the game. Half of the crowds at TMobile aren't there for the game, first.
-
Agree. TMobile is like an amusement park of sorts. I was unlucky in that I lived in Seattle before they got good. I got to watch Griffey and Edgar but the team still wasn't good. The last game I went to there was in 94. I bet it was a riot to be there late season in 95.

One of those games against the Yankees in the ALDS, there was an amazing finish. I was at someone's apartment in Mill Creek. After the game I went to the nearby Albertson's. Strangers were hugging and high-fiving in the store. Everyone was walking around with smiles on their faces.

Edgar's grand slam above happened on the same day the Huskies lost to Notre Dame and left Derrick Mayes uncovered in the end zone and Damon Huard threw the pick 6 and our punter dropped a snap and got obliterated.
-
I was at every home playoff game in 95. I chose to solely attend the Ms that day but my dad doubled up. He rolled in around the 5th inning or whatever, pissed as all hell, bitching about Notre Dame, Lambo, and traffic. He got better though because Edgar. Good times.
-
There's never been a better playoff series. There were so many ridiculous things in that series I can't remember half of them. Edgar's slam off of Wetland was top of the list. Griffey hit five freaking homers and that has always been overshadowed by Edgar's heroics, which is cool.
