I'm willing to admit to human caused climate change. As to the magnitude of that effect vs natural causes and the understanding of the mechanisms by which it is caused? That could be a big can of worms, obviously too much for you.

Geological engineering. Who knew? Now do how much geological engineering the US needs to do to access the necessary metals and minerals to build the solar and wind turbines to meet a unicorn goal of a net carbon zero world and necessary transmission to get intermittent solar and wind energy from nowhere to somewhere and where do we get the base load for when the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow. It would be nice if Team Big Ern's dem politicians supported an aggressive US mining operations and subsequent metal and mineral extraction.
