Fallout
Amazon Prime. Post apocalypse/nuclear war. Cute heroine.
The Throbber liked episode one. Not sure whether perky heroine will disrobe but wood.

I’m bored of future dystopian shows.
Can we get like a Happy Days remake on Prime ? -
With Jake Gyllenhaal starring as Richie Cunningham

Fallout isn’t as dark as some of the end times shows. Downright cheery.

I think I just realized to pitch Happy Days as a dark murder mystery like Riverdale.

How is it that when @RaceBannon was a little fella there were duck and cover drills for the Ruskie Nukes and the culture could still produce Happy Days, but now everything is all dystopian future porn? I had to stop watching the Walking Dead like 4 or 5 seasons in because I was sitting there, like what's the fucking point?

Happy Days was high school but I get your point
The 60s had some cheesy Sci fi and lots of killing of Nazis
Good times

Happy Days is more of a catchall for the era. Andy Griffith was taking young Ritchie Cunningham fishing at the Mayberry Pond during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
I miss America damn it!

Fallout has been around since 1997, and its origins date back another 10 years further. That it's only now on TV is less about today's thirst for dystopia porn and more about how creatively bankrupt Hollywood is. One of the most popular video game franchises of all time is pretty low hanging fruit.

I've never been interested in Fallot as an IP.
Starting Alan Wake 2 for PS5 this afternoon.

I've played a couple of the games and I was very pleasantly surprised, as I was expecting them to fuck it up like The Witcher and Halo. I guess they still have plenty of time to screw it up in later seasons and Bethesda hasn't put out a decent game in over a decade, but for now I am entertained and optimistic that the producers know what they're doing.
