The Tour still has the events and the #1 player
We'll see Rahm and Koepka at Augusta

And what exactly needs to be changed or adapted?
From what I see I see LIV throwing Monopoly money out at the best players in an effort to effectively place the PGA Tour in a position where they can't afford to pay the top talent.
LIV isn't doing this to be profitable …
This also happened with European soccer and it's why they have Financial Fair Play rules that while they aren't as firm as they are made out to be put the teams/owners in a position to have to do some heavy financial gymnastics to comply.

Rahm's the only main player on LIV that I feel is massively missed.
I still hold to the opinion that Rahm left because 1) LIV offered him stupid money that he couldn't walk away from and 2) he viewed his leaving as the straw that potentially would break the back to the split and be the branch that brings things gradually back together

The format for how players are paid seems to be quite the attraction to LIV.

Who doesn't like guaranteed free money?
I think the Tour has made attempts at keeping the balance between players getting paid for on-course performance and what they get through their names in recent years.
Tiger's not a billionaire because of his PGA Tour winnings.
Joel Dahmen was on a recent video where he was asked if he made more money last year on or off the course (PGA Tour earnings were just under $2M) … he said on Tour but barely.
If you're a big name there's plenty of room for you to be able to make money off of your name that isn't tied to you getting a Top 3 finish at the Rocket Mortgage Loans tournament
It's not my money so I shouldn't care … but nothing pisses me off more in sports than the player that signs the long-term GUARANTEED contract and then goes soft because they got paid and they don't care anymore.

My dad said Arnie stopped winning majors because of Mark McCormick and IMG lining his pockets
And yet Jack took the same deal and won majors for years to come.
Back then you had to play 30 events or be Arnie or Jack to make a living. The tour became a place where you could make millions and not bother with winning. But the winners never cared about the money. They want to win. Tiger was that way
It is even harder today. The lure of easy money

Rory or the field?

And a water bogey on 18
I still have the touch
