I’ll never forget that catch at USC. I was there! About 25 rows up from it on that end of the field. That was after a heavy tailgating session too. I remember
because his hands aren’t elite. Hopefully he gets lasik eye surgery and becomes a difference maker for the hawks who no longer has a case of the drops.
Tried to catch the brief coverage of Penix working out, but like everything else with the NFL besides their playoffs, it's all just unwatchable. While being promised Rome/Penix working out several times in-between 20+ total minutes of commercials I endured:
An way too long interview with Bo Nix.
Caleb Williams eating and rating various sour candies.
An interview with JJ McCarthy where he's being tee'd up questions to fluff Harbaugh with.
I was always hoping we were going to see Culp get some carries. Feels like that might have been a great chance to use his straight line speed. He caught balls this year and wa sa good and willing blocker in his career. Hopefully he made a good chunk of money yesterday.

His time was faster than a large portion of the corners. A man that big shouldn’t move that fast. Wild.
Elite!
@backthepack
2023 was no fluke. Somehow there was a lot of top end talent.
Thanks Taft!
where’s fudgie? Need him to weigh in.
Dill is slow.

He was really underutilized

This year he caught damn near everything
Does that make him elite?

Had to turn it off.

I could see him being a Rick Fenney type. Interesting thought.
It's only "ultra fast" because he's got the TE label.
4.47 is probably top-25 for WR's in the draft. The guy is fast, regardless of position.
3rd fastest 40 for a tight end in combine history. So yeah, elite.
Sad Westover wasn't able to test. Hope he gets drafted. He was really good in the CFP games.
Thank God for strict straight-line 40 speed! The true arbiter of NFL-readiness….
