    Part I:

"Oh my god this team is all the sudden going 3 and out against Boise and we can't run the ball at all. Man their fans are huge faggots."

"No one cares that we're splintering the plunger @ MSU because some drunk fan in the parking lot told someone here that they're going to offer DeBoer 12 million."

"It all the sudden feels weird to effortlessly scrimmage Cal."

    Question:

Peterman was generally considered a "play not to lose" type coach. His philosophy cost UW more than a few frustratingly winnable games in his six years. DeBoer and his "Play to win at all costs" was particularly intoxicating because of 8 years of the aforementioned style. That said DeBoer almost cost the team a few games in 2023 by not being more pragmatic. Sometimes a 12 play, time consuming drive could have put games out of reach a lot sooner than a short sequence with two deep balls and a throw away. I haven't watched a ton of Arizona yet but would you say Mr. NFL Fish is a mixture of the two creeds?

I probably only watched 2/3 of their games, and didn't see their blowout wins over UCLA and Utah, but I remember during the season that I thought he had a tendency to go to the pass too much when he was road grading teams with Coleman and Wiley. Specifically against SC he blew a 17 point lead doing that.

I also see here that he beat Colorado by only 3. And then the Stanford game.

So unfortunately he's still probably a downgrade in terms of Game Day adjustments compared to DeBoer.

Sounds a lot like DeBoer actually. In 2021 at Fresno with a team that was top 2 or 3 in the MW conference in talent DeBoer's team lost on the road to an awful Hawaii team 27-24, scored 17 points in a road win over Wyoming and scored 14 in a blowout loss to Boise with the conference title on the line. In 2023 at UW with a team that was top 2 or 3 in the conference in talent his team scored 9 offense points in the second half vs Utah, scored on the first and last possession of the second half with absolutely nothing in between vs Oregon, scored 0 second half points vs OSU, scored 9 total points in a win vs ASU and scored only 10 second half points in a close win vs Arizona. I know, winners win but if the defense doesn't step up at key moments in both the high scoring and low scoring games UW loses 1-3 times in the regular season and their record looks a lot like Arizona. 11-2 or 10-3. Maybe this is closer to being an upgrade/downgrade push in terms of play calling and philosophy mindset. I'll need to YouTube some Arizona games in the next few weeks and see what I see.

All I know is I was happy to get out of Tucson with a win.
