Interaction with duck fans in Peoria, Arizona

So guys, I'm old. I have a vacation home down in Peoria, Arizona and I split time between Tacoma, WA (no I'm not poor) and Peoria. Mrs. Doogerson and I were out playing golf and we get paired up with a guy named Barry and his wife, Trudy from Chicago. Barry is everything you'd imagine a 70 year old high roller from Chicago would be. Mrs. Doogerson and Trudy were admiring each other's apparel and discussing their favorite flavors of white claw. Barry says - you gotta go to the Antigua outlet in Peoria.
So Mrs. Doogerson and I go and in the warehouse-type store, this place is a candy shop for my wife. Everything is like $10 bucks for all the latest in stylish old person golf outfits. She had an armful of stuff. I'm not finding much for myself but there are some older duck fans admiring a yellow and green polo shirt.
Being the normal dick that I am, I say - the purple and gold one looks better. I am of course wearing a husky hat. Just a friendly joke, said in a nice tone of voice. Guy turns around and glares at me.
Here is what happened next:
Duck Fan; "Did you guys beat Michigan?" (I'm thinking, damn that escalated quickly. Let's have some fun.)
Me: "No, but it was a tough loss, but boy it was great to be in the national championship game."
Duck Fan: "GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR, HAHAHAHA. YOU GUYS ARE SCREWED."
Me: "Actually, I think we upgraded coaching staffs."
Duck Fan: "Typical husky fan. You guys are toast this year."
Me: "Last I checked we've beaten you 3 times in a row."
Me: "I forget what bowl game were you guys in this year. <cracking a grin>"
Duck Fan: "Fuck you"
He walks away cursing below his breath. I was hoping it would get to the point where I could throw out - how many national championships do you guys have again?
Thank you, Kalen Defraud for allowing me to have this moment. I want you to fail in a spectacular way but those wins over Oregon made this moment possible.

Pics of Mrs. Doogerson in her new golf skirt?
-
You sound pour
-
Or even a pic of the Chicago high rollers wife?
-
My old man(the first one) is going on 70 and is wearing UW gear everyday when out in public with the hopes of trolling a Ducktard. "The Coogs are where they belong and have excepted life, the Ducks still need some work...."

Zona Ducks like @AZDuck are the worst.

Imagine not only getting in an argument over sports in an outlet store but then going to brag about it on the internet.
-
Yeah but the post got 16 fancy feasts and counting…

CSB time …
Was at the Waste Management Open last weekend wearing my UW hat. A guy wearing hideous amounts of grello yells at me, “How you Huskies feeling now without your coach? Gonna be rough.”
Not a comment worth fisticuffs, but the tone was there. I couldn’t come up with a repy that wouldn’t require an ongoing conversation, so I just said, “Feels better than losing three in a row to my rival.”

In these Dawg days of winter a minor miracle takes place whenever anyone posts anything.

had a Daddy Daughter dance last night with my 8yo in Dallas. There was a digital slide show and I submitted a photo from the natty of us throwing up dubs at the fan fest in Houston for all the UT alum dads there. Talking sugar bowl shit to looonghorns in Dallas is the one silver lining on the shit sandwich ending to 14-1.

This was Duck fan in Vegas
until 9:00pm anyways -
I feel ya, bruh.
Smoking weed and talking shit @Ballz deep in enemy territory is the best. -
I don’t know what it is, but our local Ducktards don’t say shit to me most of the time and I’m always wearing the colors. Deschutes County Ducks must be soft. I'm usually the one to initiate shit talk
-
The times I’ve hung out in Bend, I always wear UW stuff and never get into any rows. It’s gotta be the weed.

Moral of the story…5 years ago, we really had no comebacks and the ducks were the ones popping off. Tables have been turned.
Mrs. Doogerson and I will be out of the course again this afternoon. Out of respect for @Rapeculturedawg , I will not post a pic of her ass in her new golf outfit as he is her baby brother.
Another interesting observation. I've played probably 50 times at my golf courses in my neighborhood since I bought the place a year ago. Met a lot of good dudes. Never once have I run into a duck fan or a WSU fan. Plenty of Huskies, lots of Cornhuskers, Michigan fans, Illinois fans, and the occasional Beav. Oddly enough a bunch of Canadians as well.
Maybe the ducks and coogs can't afford vacation homes in this economy.

“Beating sark is a fun tradition, let’s do it again next year!”
-
Think about the amount of pressure Lanning and the duck fans are going to be under next year.
4th straight game they’ll figure there’s no chance in hell they lose. They’ll probably set up for the Big 10 championship. If Lanning chokes another one when we are obviously down according to them they may finally have to realize that they may not win for awhile.

lol

By all accounts oregon should beat us next year. Oh well, I am not expecting anything more than 7/8 wins if everything were to go perfect. The dejection on all ducks faces wanting to say "yeah but still" in Las Vegas was hilarious. We will have the two, maybe 3 most soul crushing and impactful wins in the history of the rivalry. Only way they would match something like that is beating us in the final 8 if that match up were to ever happen.
-
I'm surprised schools still have those
-
Don’t necessarily disagree, but the Kenny Wheaton pick that started Oregon football was pretty soul-crushing for UW.
-
Not even close to the same stakes as Vegas though. You guys can lose 10 in a row and if none of them occur in the big ten title or indy, you’ll still have Vegas to cling to. Not even joking. That one hurt bad.
-
you sound not poor.
-
It’s a private school, even public schools in Texas are broken
-
Conference title games have lost significance going forward. That Las Vegas game was win and your in to the final 4 and Oregon's fanbase was talking shit the whole year even after losing the previous biggest game in the history of the rivalry.
The Kenny Wheaton game admittedly sucked as a us fan but it didn't mean anything to us other than a shitty loss. We were on probation and going no where. Nothing like the last 3 games. -
The Wheaton pick essentially symbolized the turning of the tables on the rivalry until the last couple years. The game itself was not a killer, but it was the first domino in a long game of soul crushing.
It may not have been on the same level as Vegas, but it was big. -
just gotta buy in a hood with mostly well mannered, smart kids. Easy peasy.

The weed be letting you know.
