For the record, I grew up in Oregon (Beaverton) and hated Oregon. They were insufferable and that was before ’the pick’.

Zeroes fans still haven't realized that Nike is the National (albeit international) brand, not the Ducks. Without Nike Oregon is at best a regional NW Oregon brand.

But the reality is that Oregon does have Nike, so cope harder I guess?

People forget that when Nike first wanted to brand a college football team's uniforms (ie make a decision that was solely about good business), they went with the flagship university of the Pacific Northwest, the University of Washington. People forget that.

Oregon and Washington both began their sponsorship deals with Nike in 1995 after having been with Russell Athletic prior.
