Demotion implies that taking less money and responsibility would be a negative to him.

Right, I completely agree that he’s going to enjoy his job a hell of a lot more. It’s still crazy that the HC of UCLA is leaving to take the OC job at another school. It’s not like this is the HC of Northwestern or Vanderbilt. Maybe I’m overrating how good a job UCLA is though.

Day gave it up at end of year iirc. Chip will make 2.5m a year to be at practice then go into his office and dream up plays/formations. He won't recruit or do the meet and greet NIL circuit.
