I mean-just because illegal immigrants are accused of setting up organized crime rings (many of which involve sex traficking)- who are we to judge?


The article was particularly interesting because over the weekend the AJC ran a story about sex trafficking here with over 80% attributes to gangs. Story is behind a paywall but here are some excerpts:

Georgia leaders ramp up efforts in ongoing battle against human trafficking (ajc.com)

It’s estimated that there are about 1.5 million trafficking victims in the U.S., most of whom are children. Georgia is among the top 10 states with the highest instances of human trafficking, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said recently.

About 80% of human trafficking in Georgia is linked to gangs, Carr said.
