How are those 401ks?

This guy leap frogged HH. Incredible feat. Not easily done.

Forgive me, way less than 0.01% of index funds made 30%+. I think the board knows you were lying and being dishonest. Let me quote you again:
"Bro, lol, I know not everyone made that on their investments this year…..but they should have. Even an index fund investment would have got you there."
We all know or suspect you didn't invest in Qx3. I also am pretty sure you didn't average a 30% return. Actually I guarantee it. I question whether you have any money in the market at all after reading your outlandish claim.
I don't run this site, but just a friendly request, don't lie. If you want to participate, just discuss things you know or have an opinion on. Claiming that everyone should have made 30% in the market and that you did, is just being dishonest.
Oh and one more thing. Try to temper your irrational rat beliefs. It makes you look not only dishonest, it also makes you look incredibly stupid.
-
That wasn’t the only stupid thing you said in that post.
Tell me something , if someone invests $2000 in an index fund that is $400 per share vs one that is $40 per share. What’s the difference?
Man…I’m not trying to be a dick, but Jesus. I can’t believe the thought processes some of you have. You give me no other choice but to correct those statements.
No fucking wonder the country is going through rough times.
-
So you are ignoring the fact you lied. Got it.
-
The stock market always goes up eventually, dumbfuck.
-
Guys I apologize, I let some dumb comments get to me yesterday, I didn’t mean to get to the name calling. It’s just when some one says an index fund wouldn’t have gotten you a 30% ROI and I prove otherwise (because…I did it myself as its tech heavy) then proceeds to make a dumb comment about $400 stock a stock that people cant afford (apparently not understanding that if you spend $400 worth on a stock thats $400 a share vs one thats $40 a share is still $400 spent) was too much.
I apologize, I will try to be better, more patient. My job here is to educate and make you guys better for adulthood!
-
Ughhhhh Bob, not you too bro. I made the claim indexes funds could get you 30% gain in the last year and Bob pulls up a chart mapping out the performance of that stock from 2 years ago to disprove my comment.
Were off to a poor start today boys….Cmon now.
-
Also EsophaegalFeces: “Water is always wet, dumb fuck”!
-
How much do you have under management?
-
The point is that simpletons look at their 30% growth on a one year basis and ignore the 30% haircut from the preceding year.
-
Not the point of that statement at all. Index funds are a long game. Some asshole said previously that people are withdrawing from their 401ks until 30 years down the line and can’t benefit now from the stock market jump. My point is you can realize the same type of gains in an index fund which you can withdraw at anytime and can have spectacular gains when the market shoots up….because….apparently I have to explain this type of stuff to grown ass adults.
My statement was to call out that index funds performed very well it in the last year….which you then researched the performance of the index fund I stated in the last 2 years for some reason to disprove my statement of index funds getting over a 30% gain in the last year. I wont even touch your other statement which seems to imply you think there is only one index fund in the world.
Must….resist…urge….to…..namecall.

"Bad economies aren't good for guys who can only suck dick for living." - haie
@HHusky and @HuskyBuck have proven this to be untrue.

It’s 7 figures. Like I said, im not rich but I ain’t poor. If you think im lying, I’ll just simply point you to Amazon’s lvl 7 compensation package and you’ll figure out how I got there.
But again that’s not the point. I also grew that number after I got there. The average American can do the same exact thing with less. The fact that you thought 100K was the starting number for your taunt was sad to say the least.
-
Bipolar much? JFC
-
I fucking called it exactly yesterday. Guy is entry-level white collar at an inflated tech company (I said Amazon specifically) just waiting for a bubble pop and the upcoming layoffs after this massive over expansion.
Another clue is that this guy is dispensable while early in his career is that he has ample time to brag about himself on a message board to strangers who I assume are much older than he is and much further into work careers.
We know and have worked with this type of staff filler. Being so excited bout his 401k at such a young age is a red flag to me as a hiring manager.
-
We've all had our home-runs, son, as well as our regrets. Like when I bought Costco at $59 and sold it at $95, then watched it run to about $400.00.
You suggest people get a Fiduciary. Interesting. I'm currently beating my Fiduciary-held index funds by about 90%, because my larger personal holdings are in sectors and companies I work in and understand.
You're obviously a numbers guy, above everything, and BFD that you made a good return this year. So did millions of others.
But if you cannot see the inverse relationship between your stellar performance and the CPI, well, you'll just have to learn it the hard way, probably in your late 50s.
I suggest you stop acting and writing like a little punk. You might be taken more seriously then.
-
You called it? Even after one of the first things I did was identify myself as an Amazon employee on Hardcore Husky?
Boy, we have some real geniuses on this board.
P.s. Even if I do get laid off, I’ll be ok with said 7 figures in my bank account….you know….the same amount of money you guys would trade in for thousands of dollars less of inflation costs per year. Lolololol.
-
I’m sorry I was so unaware of your life story. You just seem like the typical mid-20s staff filler with no ambition other than to milk out the clock for 30 years until retirement from the same company. You won’t be there that long there.
There are people who are your peers working hard at this very moment as you’re failing at trying to embarrass people who are much more experienced and intelligent than you in a sports’ Internet forum.
-
It was never my intention to embarrass people on this board, but since we’re on this subject, I dont have to embarrass people on this board. They’re doing a good enough job doing that on their own with their asinine replies.
-
I have no desire to look up Amazon’s comp packages, but let’s say you’re around 250k/yr which pretty good for a kid your age.
I doubt you have 7 figures in managed cash, but you could always post a redacted brokerage statement and your 401k to prove everyone wrong.
That said, I’m gonna guess you gross 180-220k a year with some stock that hasn’t vested yet, and in 5yrs or so you’ve been able to build up a couple hundred k in cash investments and you rent an apartment in S Lake Union with the rest of the ants.
It’s not a bad life for a 27yo but maybe pull back on this Bill Ackman performance on an internet message board.
-
Ah, the Cult that produces videos for anyone interested where they bleat and repeat like the sheep they are, "I work with some REALLY SMART people."
Then come the layoffs.
Enjoy your cult, kid.
It won't be your last.
-
You remind me of my older daughter in Tucson who comes home during breaks at UA yet again knowing more than any other person has ever learned about life and biomedical research.
It’s kind of cute in a way except that she isn’t an asshole about it like you are in her approach nor is she trying to bring people down. She’s genuinely excited about her studies, unlike you who are showing not a bit of excitement about your boring job except apparently wasting years until retirement. That’s just sad.
-
Wanna bet? I’ll just say this….i’m not lying you to you. For the record, my base pay is capped at $175000 a year.
-
And once again, it’s not my intention to be a dick. I’m merely pointing out the opportunity out there regardless of who’s president. I know….I accomplished it myself. People give me no choice to be a dick when they take my comments personally and attack me because it goes against their political narrative. My statements are apolitical.
And I think it shows, buts its an absolutely pet peeve of mine when people make dumb decisions and then turn around and blame someone else.
Example, a poster made the following claim: “I couldn’t afford to go to the Sugar Bowl, but I HAD to go”.
Same poster 3 posts later “People like me can’t afford to buy houses!!!”
Honestly, who’s fault is that?

Jesus Christ. Scratch bi-polarism. Smells more like vintage short-man's disease.
How short, skinny and wimpy are you, dude?
Most Try-Hard Poaster I've seen in years on these boreds.
