In his defense he needed to keep de Laura as the starter so he could throw 6 TDs and 0 incompletions to beat the Huskies week 5.

In all seriousness. I do recall a spell when DeLaura wasn’t playing well and got hurt and Judd Hirsch played Fifita who did well but crazy stats - like 5 TDs. 4 INTs - because of the connection with McMillan (who as a former Oregon commit I had followed pretty closely).
Anyway. To me it was obvious Fifita was the better QB and the connection w/McMillan is special. And fuck, am I bummed McMillan isn’t a Duck.
