A few thoughts

This is why I was saying on Friday that Dannen deserved a chance to right the ship before the entire board shit on him
Dillon Johnson -- come back home bruh!! There's work to do!
My one concern has nothing to do with Florida. It's that Fisch never stays in one place for long
Kudos to whichever poster said that

Kudos to whichever poster said thatESPNFOX will have a field day in their lead-ins linking "Fisch" with fish tossing at the Pike Place Market
Preferably with cigar in mouf on the catch.
Also, that was several thoughts. -

For sure, the NFL specifically. All things considered, I think this was the best possible hire Dannen could've made. Time will tell.DerekJohnson said:My one concern has nothing to do with Florida. It's that Fisch never stays in one place for long

Yes he's gone. I want him to come back and play alongside Will Rogers.Postal91 said:

Fox is biggest winner in this hire. Now they’ll rub Pikes Place Fish in ESPNs face

This was the captain obvious post of the year. It’s going to be awful.DerekJohnson said:I'm very happy with the hire

In 11 years I believe that's my first St Elmo's Fire pull on the boards
-
IMHO Dillon Johnson will be lucky to be drafted and hopefully end up on a practice squad. Someone needs to inform him there is more money to be made at UW next year than going pro.

When do these guys get draft grades?wooderson92 said:IMHO Dillon Johnson will be lucky to be drafted and hopefully end up on a practice squad. Someone needs to inform him there is more money to be made at UW next year than going pro.

Nope. He ain't coming. He and several other kids on the team are pissed at Fisch and said so publicly yesterday. The young men haven't understood what this all means yet. The vast majority of them have 4 year, semi-pro careers and an opportunity to get a free education (for now). When do the fooball and basketball players not get full rides like the restnof the teams?EsophagealFeces said:

Anyone who entered the portal but hasn’t committed/signed with another school still has the option to come back.RoadTrip said:

I think it was smart to enter the portal for a lot of these guys to get their names out there and I hope a lot of them come back. I especially want Mohammed to return. -
I feel like you have no clue what you’re talking about. Why is the kid liking Tracy fords twat about him and the qb/wr going to udub?RoadTrip said:

Feels like exactly the big badass athletic running back schools like the Beav, Arizona and Utah always seem to have and UW never does. He has gold fronts. That's good for at least 1.5 extra yards per carry.CallMeBigErn said:

College football is all about $. When Fisch leaves, you buy someone else. No one cares about the school, the education, the logo, the tradition (except exposure and winning), the location (mostly), etc. it is all about $. College football is a lot like Formula 1, the biggest spenders win.

UW alumni and players love being connected to the programs. Look at the natty game love fest.PineapplePirate said:College football is all about $. When Fisch leaves, you buy someone else. KDB was the only one who didn’t give a shit. -
The kingpins running this sport don't believe this is really all that important. They'd say something like "Well, people will still buy Cowboys tickets next year."Kingdome_Urinals said:

What I think they have wrong is the connectedness is the secret sauce that pro sports can't replicate and keeps college football in the money.
If this sport does turn into a semi-pro league and loses the connection, long term it'll look more like the WHL than the NFL.
